I lost track of how many steps it took to complete this routine somewhere between 50 and 50,000! This is an amazing video of a Spanish synchronized swimming team performing the most unique version of Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” that I’ve ever seen. Just as the song does, the swim starts off slow and peaceful, but when the song picks up, so does the routine. You will be stunned at the beautiful movements that fit so perfectly with the music.

I can’t even begin to imagine how much time and effort was put into this 5+ minute performance. All of those small steps had to be perfectly timed not just for 1 person but for 10! Practice and persistence were probably this team’s motto leading up to the 2009 World Aquatics Championships where this was performed.

It is no wonder why they won the gold medal for this routine!
