When this woman’s son died in the line of duty in Afghanistan, she had no idea what to do. When she held his uniform in her hands, a beautiful idea came to mind.
She headed to her sewing machine and created a teddy bear out of her son’s uniform. And it doesn’t stop there – she has now created a small organization that can provide teddy bears to families of other fallen soldiers.
I can only imagine how comforting a thing this would be to hold on to, especially for a child. If you know anyone who may be interested there’s a way to request one from her website. And if you sew, they’re looking for volunteers too.
