If you know anyone whose life has been touched by cancer then you’ll relate to this. A cancer diagnosis is one of the most difficult things to hear, and it brings about an appreciation for facets of life that so many of us take for granted.
In this video pairs of people who can’t see each other are asked what they wish for in life. One person in each pair is affected by cancer. The differences in their answers are eye opening, and they’ll open your heart too.
It’s a great reminder that we need to be a bit more tolerant, understanding and compassionate with those we encounter, because you really just never know what others are going through.

Let this help you awaken your appreciation for the little things. I love how they come together at the end!

Paying it Forward
This short video reminded me of what so many of…
All I can say is that you are such an amazing individual with such a big and generous heart Paul. Since I have started reading your inspiring messages on facebook, you have become a tremendous source of energy to keep me going. I have struggled through my life for many, many years. First I had to flee my homeland with my family because of our faith and belief at the young age. Then I had to go through losing my only sibling, my dearest sister, who meant a world to me when she was only 47 years of age due to pancreatic cancer. I saw her suffering without being able to do anything for her. You can imagine how it would feel to stay strong for the sake of the family and at the same time supporting your loved one while she is drifting away with pain and despair. She left three sons that two of them were at the very vulnerable ages, one teenage and the other only 9 years old, and her last wish was for me to look after them and guide and support them to become someone that make a difference in this world. At the time of losing my sister I had my Dad living with me and my Mum at a nursing home because of having Alzheimer to look after too. Although the boys had their father to live with him, but I had to be with them every step of their lives considering the pain and loss they were experiencing due to missing their Mum, while working fulltime because my husband was studying at that time, and looking after my Dad who started developing Dementia. Any way all i can say is that when I look back on my life for the last 30 years I can’t even believe how I managed to do all those things for my loved ones and be there for them all the time. Except that I believe that GOD always somehow give you the strength which is required for you to tackle hardships and difficulties. As there is a saying which I really believe in that says, you never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have. Now my Mum and Dad have gone to other realm of GOD, Boys are all grown up and have their own successful careers and families, my husband is working, and I am retired from my full time job because of some health issue, and living in this moment for the sheer joy of living it. I am looking forward to better days in the future with the hope that i would be able to help others overcoming their emotional obstacles and difficulties by trusting in GOD and pray. Once again I really appreciate what you are doing for me and others. I am sure that someday it will make a big difference in the world. GOD Bless your heart.
Paul, thanks so much for sharing this! May 27th was my fourth “re-birthday” or the day we celebrate my bone marrow transplant. My cancer, myelofibrosis, never showed on the outside and as a middle aged man having to ask a teenage female store clerk to help me carry a 40# bag of dog food to the register, then to the car was a very difficult experience. I LOOKED every bit as healthy as the next guy, I can only imagine what must’ve been going through her mind… After I left the hospital and came home there were no instructions on how to piece my life back together and I fell into a deep depression, something I still struggle with occasionally. None of these maladies show(ed) on the outside but people are still quick to judge, assuming that outward appearances are all that define a person.
I still don’t know where my life is headed and take things one day at a time, living in the moment. Sometimes that is a greater gift than an anonymous marrow donor! Please know that the inspiration you give me has helped, and continues to help on a daily basis. For everything you do, thank you. Some days it makes all the difference in the world…
Warmest regards,
(Mr) Tracy Luegge
