Although we sometimes consider the bigger picture of our lives – and maybe even the universe – I don’t think any of us as children considered these topics to the degree or level of understanding as this 9 year old!
Some of us have a difficult time just trying to understand the little things that happen to us on a day-to-day basis. Things happen, we react, end of story. We don’t analyze everything to reach a higher level of understanding. But maybe we should! Maybe if we each spent just a little more time contemplating our daily lives, our heightened level of awareness would give us a little more control over – and acceptance of – the outcome.
Let this 9 year old’s dialog give you a bit of inspiration to take a step back on your life and think about all the forces at work. Maybe you’ll realize even just one little thing that will set you off on a new, more productive direction. It’s not a difficult thing to do, and as he so aptly demonstrates, be gentle with yourself in the process.
