It’s simpler than you think, so let’s try it! In this short video, organizational psychologist and eternal optimist Dr. Woody discusses how happiness is a choice. By removing certain negative words from your vocabulary and replacing them with more positive ones, you are consciously choosing to create a happier life for yourself.
Although he focuses on three specific words, there are others that you can change too. If you try to be more aware of your vocabulary you begin to change it, and while you’re removing negative triggers from your life, why don’t you add some positive ones, too?
More positive actions help too! Today, smile at one more stranger, hold the door open for one more person, let one more car into the line of traffic ahead of you. I am willing to bet even those small gestures will change your day and your attitude, not to mention someone else’s!
