Many of us have at least seen the original Rocky movie and been inspired by the rising underdog story. Rocky, no matter how many times he was literally beaten down, always got back up because he believed he still had more to prove and more steps to take. He never took his eyes of his goal.
Later in life, Rocky talks to his son about what winning is all about, and it’s not about taking the easy path to get to your destination. It’s about not quitting, getting back up when you get knocked down even if you feel you don’t have it in you. It’s about taking charge of your goals and not blaming the difficult times on others.
My advice is to save this video, or one similar that you may have found, and watch it whenever you need a pick-me-up. There’s nothing wrong with needing a reminder that we really are all a lot stronger than we may give ourselves credit for. Keep going, you’ll get there!
