My dog Toby brought so much love into our home. He also brought lots of compassion, patience, learning, and many other things that we tend to take for granted. This video reminded me of the wonderful daily interactions Toby and I have together, and how he has taught me so much about being the best person I can be.
A six year old boy named Shane said, “People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life – like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right? Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.”
After reading his words, which are at the end of the video, I gave Toby an extra long hug and thanked him for all he means to me. I imagine you’ll do the same.
