Many of us just see Thomas Edison as the genius who brought us the light bulb, among several other things. We figure he must have always been the smartest in his class and excelled at everything he did without much effort.

This clearly was not the case for Thomas Edison, and it is only because one person believed in him when all others did not, that he was able to uncover his full potential. Imagine his teacher’s surprise when he became one of the most iconic inventors of the century!

This story just proves that you never really know until you try. And just because someone may not believe in you, does not mean that you can’t do it. It does not mean that there isn’t someone else out there who believes you have what it takes. Don’t ever let anyone else define you or your potential to do great things. Get out there and prove those naysayers wrong! I believe in you!
